Is there anything going on in Columbia?
Apparently, there is. Although, I didn't know that until I checked out a couple of the Award Winning Web 2.0 Tools from www.seomoz.org. I wasn't sure what to look at, at first. I thought and I thought, and came to the conclusion that where I am definitely lacking in my life is "getting out" and knowing where to go when I do get the chance. So, that brought me to the options under "Events". There I found Upcoming, Going, Confabb and Eventful. Upcoming and Eventful focus on local area events; Going looks at the big cities and Confabb gives you the scoop on conferences and meetings. I delved further into Upcoming and Eventful because I didn't find Columbia, Missouri on the metropolis list, and Confabb sounds like work. Pro to Upcoming- few ads; Con: the text search box default "columbia" turns up results for columbia, SC (that's not even close to Missouri!). Pro to Eventful- concise webpage layout; Con: ad-rageous! Pro to both sites- Nice use of geolocation (thanks np!). Useful for the library? I'd have to chew that thought over a donut at Mozaki's. Good luck with your new belt full of tools everyone!!

So, actually...
The picture of the Dance of Life is from my computer, and I edited it with Picasa. I tried using the url link of one of the original pictures I found, but they ended up being way too big. I couldn't find the quality of picture with the resolution that I wanted (quickly), so I used the "I'm Feeling Lucky" option in Picasa to adjust the color of the picture. Hope I did the painting justice...
So, I'm a bit behind

Here goes...I finally added a picture for my profile today! Now, I'm going to scour the internet for another picture to post for my blog. Let's see what we can come up with...Ah, yes. Nothing better than my favorite painting by Edvard Munch, Dance of Life. Hope you all enjoy! If you would like to read an essay about the painting (you'll have to excuse the typo's of the author...)click on this bad boy.
